I’ve always worked in the field of integration. Mostly my work lives at the meeting point of devotion and agency. That is what sacred and sovereign means.
I just came out of a beautiful astrology session with a dear male client, friend, and community member. He embodies so much devotion and kindness, along with the regular uncertainties we all carry generationally.
He reminded me of the integration of Śakti and Śaktimān — of feminine power and the manifestations through which power moves.
I cannot bypass the external factors that frame feminine devotion with such little clarity that we end up appearing weak.
I also cannot unsee the innate power women have relinquished over centuries in the name of being “feminine.”
Submission is not strength — until it becomes surrender.
Surrender is full of emotion.
It is a fully chromatic blossoming garland.
And yet it is one stage of our spiritual maturity — a stage we return to again and again.
It carries unseen benefits that, in the moment, we cannot yet recognize. True surrender is the freely giving up of the false ego.
Whether we know it or not, the sacred technologies of the ancient traditions are there as doorways to sovereign power.
It is up to us to remember.
For it is in those moments of surrender that we become impossible to control.
Love,
Jaishree
