Where are they now?

Teaching business feels so vulnerable to me.

It’s so much easier to launch. Give. Perform. Teach.

Talking about business – about my achievements consciously is not my jam.

Like giving blood. Like standing naked in the mirror and celebrating every scar.

So here goes. And thank you. For staying with me. For the pinprick.

I’m talking about success specifically today, for my 35+ “em gems”.

Allow me to explain.

I’m showing you the results, not only of my recent business group cohort, but of the years of work that led me here. It started fifty years ago – but let’s only go back ten…

The Biz of Bliss™ is a new container.

The work beneath it is not.

Its roots go back to 2015, when I launched Soul Culture Yoga School.

People came for yoga, devotion, embodiment, live music and the soul.

But the benefits did not stay on the mat.

They moved into careers. New ventures. Creative projects. Leadership. Leaving jobs. Becoming therapists and teachers. Parenthood. New chapters. Galore.

Over the years, clients began asking me, and Rasa, to teach the business part directly.

Sometimes, I call my graduates ‘em gems’.

The actual namesake is Emily (Generazzo) who entered Soul Culture Yoga School in 2016 saying she had “absolutely no idea” who she was – although clearly, she was a rockstar.

She came to Sanctuary Yoga & Healing – our humble studio in Danvers, MA – to heal from her first YTT experience.

In the decade that followed, EmGen completed graduate school, became a therapist, started a private practice for children and families, and began integrating mental health, movement, yoga and youth empowerment in her work.

She’s literally about to have her first baby. And recently, she told me this:

“One of the greatest gifts that your teacher training had given me was that it doesn’t have to be average. It doesn’t have to be what everyone else is doing. It can be your own flavor. And that’s what I do now.”

And when I asked how SCYS affected her career, she says:

“Mental Health does not have to be in the four white walls. It can be on a paddleboard out in the middle of the ocean. It can be at the yoga shack, where I run girls groups now, youth groups for confidence and empowerment.”

Another 2016 Soul Culture Yoga graduate hottie Emily (DeJoy) leads investment operations for large venture capital firms. High voltage industry.

She told me:

“The most important thing that you taught me, Jai, is to slow down and kind of understand the why, and really understand the logistics around everything before I commit to something, because that makes me so much stronger in whatever it is that I pursue in life.”

And how has that has affected her career?

“Finance is such a high stress and crazy, absolutely crazy environment at all times, and especially in the venture world. When you sit with it, and when you’re feeling your breath, and you’re focused on the objective in the end, and you can clearly see how to get there, it just makes it so much easier to succeed.”

I did cry a little bit on that one.

So one more.

Nerissa, original SCYS 2015 aussie born baddie, who was already a content developer and Mom  is now a graduate clinical therapist. She recently named another part of the work

—the clarified voice required to be visible.

“Part of what I was not doing before I started at Soul Culture Yoga School was taking up space.…What I learned about my voice, from you, was that it’s important – that people wanna hear it. And the things I have to say are worth listening to.… The shrinking’s not doing anybody any favors.”

I was helping people hear what was already theirs, and giving them enough tools to be able to access and remember – in all the parts of their life. Trust their voice. Make the next move. Choose bolder.

Build a life principled and organized enough to hold their sacred work asking to come through them. It was natural.

Biz of Bliss™ is where that decade-old thread is named directly.

So cut to this current Biz of Bliss founders group.

Amber has not only completed her newest Hero’s Journey story, an original photo shoot, and implemented clearer calls to action and live links on her website – she’s clarified the next steps for her offer, and moved into a direct conversation with a prospective partner.

That happened by week 3. Of 6.

And Allison – who joined stuck in a loop – followed through on clear, simple prompts, pathways, epic shadow work, and positive reinforcement via the community. Yesterday she shared:

“I feel clear. I feel much clearer. I feel like I have a plan, and all of that feels really good. It feels so motivating to have support and structured time. I feel like I’m doing so much more having you guys there, giving me prompts and helping me keep up with it.”

She is building an empire called She Rises – and is staying for Founders group 2 that starts September 29.

Founders get those kinds of perks.

None of these women became someone else.

They cleared their foggy lens that kept them looped and gained momentum by applying curated business essentials for this competitive landscape. As soulful entrepreneurs. Healers. Corporate managers, etc. They must be supported as originals.

None of these women became someone else.

That’s the point.

Emily did not need to become a conventional therapist. Nerissa did not need to shrink her voice into something more acceptable. Allison does not need to build the entire empire before she takes the first step. Amber does not need another hundred ideas.

The work is learning to recognize what is already yours — and then building enough clarity, magnetism, skill, structure, and boundaries around it that another human being can actually receive it.

That is the Biz of Bliss™.

Magnetic Offer™. Shaktified Sales™. Beautiful Boundaries™.

Not a business stapled on top of sacred work.

A business capable of holding it. Remembering bliss.

Rasa and I are opening the second Biz of Bliss™ Founders Circle for people who have already begun serving others and know their work — but need the offer, invitation, business structure, or next move to become crystal clear and committed.

I hear people saying they don’t want to work on their business – or don’t have an offer.

I think it’s time to deprogram that thought, because sacred work is the work. And the world needs your voice. Not business poasted on top of your sacred work. The business of your capacity to hold it.

Love,
Jaishree
